Holz Toys has gained Ethical Accreditation

Holz Toys was started after owners Rebecca and Christoph Bettin returned from Germany where they had lived for several years. Whilst they were there they began to learn of the special regard and tradition for wooden toys. They believed that wooden toys meant so much more and as parents of four children they decided to make these toys available in England.  They have been a retail supplier for 7 years and their offices and warehouses are based in Lostwithiel, Cornwall. Holz Toys strive to bring their customers finely crafted playthings that are both environmentally sound and safe and designed to inspire and awaken the imagination. Concern for the environment being one of their main priorities, they wish to limit the use of plastic particularly for children's playthings. They source ethically produced and manufactured wooden toys from sustainable alder and beech forestry in Europe and from pesticide free rubber wood, recycled from plantations in Thailand. They offset their carbon footprint by planting trees locally and by purchasing plots of rainforest. See www.holz-toys.co.uk Tel. 0845 130 8697
